Alone
"Now that Victor is gone, I need your help angel, heaven has the magick of unbinding. I need you to cast this spell with me to break my connection to Victor."
She eyed me and cocked her hip out, "You do realize that to unbind what you have done could be lethal to you, yes?"
I nodded, "Not if the unbinding involves simply transferring the bond to another being of considerable power."
"And by being of considerable power, you are referring to me."
Again I nodded, "And before you say no, remember this, you are not of this world, you have no anchor to it and it will be taxing on your own powers to sustain your life force without an anchor, not to mention binding with me will increase your own powers immensely."
I already knew she would not refuse this, she was a warrior angel and I was offering her power, had it been another angel moral quandaries or some nonsense would have abrogated such a pact, but she was different."
"I accept the pact, on the conditions that I am made the catalyst, and you the one that is bound."
I ground my teeth, I had seen this coming as well, but it didn't mean I had to like it, however this was less detestable than being bound to the snake. Not to mention...what would having fragments of an angel's power be like? The idea was too delicious to pass up.
"This circle is already formed from both respective parties, all we need now is to activate it with our blood."
I summoned an athame and presented it to her.
"Ladies first."

Pact Magick
I reversed the blade on him so he cut his wrist and blood fell to the circle below.
"Come now, be a proper gentleman," I said before cutting across my palm and allowing my blood to mesh with his.
Did I trust him? No. Did I respect his power? Yes. And that's all that mattered to me anymore, to fulfill my mission I needed power, and here he was offering it. He had ulterior motives undoubtedly, but I would use him as he used me.
"You realize that by completing this, I will see your memories of Aiden?"
"That's irrelevant, I have no need of them." He said darkly before he began chanting.
I suddenly felt as if all the gravity in the universe for an instant, had originated from Alerion, before it reverse and his memories struck me like lightning.
visions of an abandoned boy.
Two young men running from shadow hunters.
Aidan dying.
The darkness that had become Alerion being born.
I doubled over, and it hurt, I felt his hurt like it had become my own, yet I didn't understand it, didn't understand these...sensations wracking my body. Did mortals always feel such a terrible thing? No wonder they acted the way they did, how could anyone endure so much pain?
"Will you pity me angel? Or will you cast condemnations upon me from on high?" He sneered.
I eyed him coolly, "What value would those have? None, nor do I have any propensity to do so. I will admire your tenacity and your ability to continue fighting, fellow warrior spirit."
He seemed a bit taken aback and for an instant there was a ghost of a handsome smile before his smirk replaced it.
"I know where Jade is being held, I saw it through astral projection, I can lead us there so long as you stay close to appease the bond."
"What about Victor?" I asked, something within me wanting to stay with him, though that should be impossible, I had no bindings to him, only to Alerion.
The shadows in the room lurched forward to spiral up his legs and torso to his back where they feathered out into raven black wings.
"Do you not feel the power radiating off me? I have Victor's essence, the essence of a werewolf, the essence of a shadowhunter, and now I am bound to an angel. All that is left is to absorb the Fey and that vampire and I then I will kill the archdaemon with my own hands for ever daring to come after me."
He turned his dark eyes upon me, "You can feel it too can't you? Your power has more than doubled, and you can utilize it anymore not having to sustain yourself, you've changed my little lark."
I looked down as white flames engulfed my hands and my wings were even larger than before, more vivacious, with an azure tint as the tips.
"What are we?" I asked, not out of fear, but out of... pride.
"The new power," he grinned before taking my hand and striding away.
Back to the outside world.

Re: Transcendent: The Journey Starts Here.
"Correct , my name is Trystan." The duo walks down the road, being paid little mind by the passers by. "The insults were irritating , but it's fine. Just refrain from making ha;f-breed comments and we're fine." He takes a deep breath , " As far as those shadow hunters... I can care less. Most of them deserve to rot as far as I'm concerned."
The sun was bright despite the somewhat chilly winds enveloping them. "I'm sure there are... decent ones. I'm just biased I suppose. Long story." They continued walking their course, with Trystan occasionally glancing at his phone for directions. "By the way, If you're wondering about my role in all this, it will be explained shortly." He quickly reveals the tome t Endymion before placing it back.
"I'm curious though." Despite being...undead, you're still somewhat new aren't you? To the whole vampire deal." He chuckles." I've never really been around your kind long. My instincts are to usually deal with you. No, I'm not going to feed you to some giant bloodsucking plant." A brief smirk appears on his lips. "It's a...." He pauses to think of a suiting word. " Feeling we get. Like you yourself are in treason against nature and life."
Trystan lowers his head momentarily. " I don't mean to sound cruel , it's just something we feel. Fey that is. We're so in-tune to nature and whatnot. However , I won't act upon it. You have my word." He flashes a small grin in the vampire's direction.
We can't tell lies anyway, half-breed or not.
"I'm intrigued to see what our situation is. Plus, I think we're about to conclude Act 1 if I'm correct." He points to the tome again. "I'm sure we will find this girl soon enough, she's clearly what you're constantly thinking about." The vampire grumbles and Trystan lets out a small cackle.
I in all honesty hope we do. We'll need all the help we can get.

An old flame...flickering...
As Trystan and Endymion were making their way to the station walking down the roadside, minute after minute, they were getting to know each other and a few questions were asked and with a sigh, Endymion answered each one.
"Yes, I am still a fresh vampire, 2 years ago I was turned cause I made a sacrifice for someone I care about, if I hadn't she would have met my fate instead. And I do think about her quite a lot...maybe sometimes too much," Endymion sighed as he proceeded to tell Trystan about his old flame that rekindled and is flickering more and more, "I have known her since we were just reaching adolescence and trained so much in the Clave, I was a shadowhunter like her before I became...this...bloodthirsty parasite. And well maybe I was 2 years too late when I confessed to her, I don't know but I still care and look out for her even though she can care of herself very well. And I take no offense to anything you say cause fey are in tune to nature and well...I am not natural." Endymion then chuckled reluctantly. "We should be getting close to our escort, and I am glad you aren't gonna 'deal' with me cause you will come to find out its a damn good thing I am an ally instead of an enemy."
Would it have been different if I said something before I 'died'? he let out a sigh and continued walking...

Silence In The Compund...
The dark lit room begins to enlighten with the flick of a finger. Shelves covered with Rune Books and stacks of papers with scribbles of recipes and directions on How-to's surround the room. Containers and Baskets full of raw ingredients scatter about the room as well as two modified refrigerators making rattling sounds as if they aren't sapose to be making them. The black fridge begins to shake horrendously as if something were alive inside, chains rattle around the fridge as the door appears to try to open, then closes over and over. With the turn of a dial, the shaking slowly stops and comes to a halt as Victor walks over to the other fridge. The black sprayed-over rusty fridge is opened to show bottles and viles of all shapes, colors, and sizes as well as a glowing bin filled with Rare Crystals that react most effectively to the cold temperatures. Victor grabs a few and puts them in his satchel and closes the fridge door. The cluttered floor becomes a bit tricky to venture back through as Victor makes it back to the stairs he feels a deep weight on his chest leave his body.
<AGH!>
He drops to the ground breathing deeply as if he felt a burden of a thousand pounds drop on him and then instantly lifted.
"Alerion, what the?"
The Soul Bound spell was released. Victor begins to head back upstairs to find both Alerion and Seraphiel gone...
"So...you used her as the Catalyst. You better not be playing games with me..." Victor throws the satchel down on the table and takes the time to wash up.
As water runs down Victor's scaley body, his mind begins to wander about in the past. The times him and Scarlett use to play in the park, and all the games they use to play, like Hide-and-Seek. "~Let's play a game Victor. Three...Two...ONE!~" Remembering the warmth of her body against him melts his Icy heart as he drops his head into the running water. As flashes of those times come to a halt when he thinks of the train de-railing and crashing, he shakes his head under the cold water as his minds goes empty, but not until he thinks back to the song. "How did she know that song..." The water stops running.
He walks his way to the study room with a new pair of clothes and begins to dim the lights. With the flick of his wrists candles begin to grow inflamed as he sits down in front of his firepit as the blue flames begin to grow. The smell of Currant, Brimstone, and Ember Sage begins to fill the room as Victor slowly goes into a meditative state as he whispers words of Halzapher "Zeeeah Hazs Sworth Thee, Zeeath Malths Sworth Thee, Maka Daeth Sworth Vorn Masss, Eech Iethan Suooth Flourn Nieghtz Suein Morrn Massz..."
Victor begins to space out as he tries to contact his Master Halzapher, yet he's not getting a response. Usually he can speak to his deity for a while, even while prisoned he was still able to speak and call out to his worshipers. As time goes by, Victor begins to sense somethings wrong. Someone's in the Compound.
Victor opens his eyes and looks over at the entrance. "What did you do to him..." He stands up and as the candles blow out and the fluorescent lights flicker back on.
"...Lucient..."

Re: Transcendent: The Journey Starts Here.
The half-fey chuckles. "Good lord, you a shadowhunter? I can barely even believe that. Although the arrows would say differently." He rubs his shoulder from where there was a wound earlier, as a bitter breeze ruffles his hair. "We should be coming unto the destination quite soon."
A warlock now too? This book is beginning to irritate me.
"Though I am glad you're carrying along instead of moping over this girl. Hopefully, things may work out in your favor."
Green Man , I hope so. I grow weary of listening to this.
Was I like this before? Bleh.
"Regardless, I'm intrigued to see what exactly will happen next. I'm curious what this escort is going to be anyways." He pauses, "Yes , this should be it up ahead."
The station looms ahead of them. It has an air of a potential glamour , and a feel of pure electricity.
"Trust me vampire. Sacrifice is never easy , and harder to deal with after the fact."
They enter the building, searching with eyes wide open to see the potential envoy.
Warlocks.
"I guess... this is our... guide?" Trystan stares at a orb like object hovering a bit in front of them. It hums with energy, clearly better after the ordeal at the manor. "Well, lead us to your master. I don't have all day."

Lucient
"I like what you did with the-well I would say place but that is too luxurious a term for this hole in the ground."
I strode down the steps to him and was greeted by Victor clapping his hands together and energy humming between them. But I was ready for this, I'd witnessed the entire fight.
I called forth The Staff of Magus and stabbed it into the ground as the lightning struck it and was grounded, creating a tether between Victor and the staff that left both his hands bound.
"Uh uh, I didn't come here to fight, show some respect for your superiors."
I walked up to him and then slowly circled his body and chuckled.
"So this is the half baked form you've decided to spend your eternity as? I never took you for one of vanity, but I prefer to see the sin stained upon you," I waved my hand casually and dispelled the glamour he so desperately clung to.
The serpentine monstrosity with its feathery wings beating furiously in an attempt to escape.
I placed a finger on his shoulder and forced him to kneel before me.
"When I speak," I sent a wave of pain down through his spinal chord so that his limbs suffered spasms, "You. Will. Listen."
I smirked, "But then again, maybe you're going deaf in your old age. How's old Halzy? He's been rather quiet lately hasn't he? I do so hope nothing foul has befallen the old god."
My eyes brightened to an unworldly yellow with streams of silver mist swirling about in their depths, pupils now diamonds reflected back at me in Victor's wide eyes.
"That would be terrible, wouldn't it? You having spent all this time to try and free an expired canary, how ironic, you do seem to lose track of people close to you so easily, like that one, hmmmm what was her name... she has the most alluring Scarlet hair, and that blush my, even the most resilient of men would offer their souls to me for a-"
I breathed against his ear, "Taste."
His eyes were flat discs as anger seethed through his immobilized form as I laughed, and the walls echoed it back to me as if they too mocked the thing they housed.
"Such a fool Victor, you're going to lose her all over again, and after I went through all the trouble of gift wrapping her for you," I shook my head sadly.
"Oh well, its not like you spent any time trying to bring her back like poor Alerion, you must have gotten over her pretty fast-"
A metallic orb launched itself at my head as I performed a backhand spring to avoid it.
It discharged a magnetic field that broke the chain of lightning and Victor launched himself at me.
I twisted and grabbed him by a wing, revolving around as he threw him back in the direction he has sprang from.
"I'd love to stay and chat, but I'm expecting visitors any time now."
I put my hands in my pockets and vanished, leaving behind a letter from days long ago.

The Shallow Darkness Begins To Bring Doubt
As The Lights flicker back on and Lucient disappears, Victor feels his body shake in pain and anger. He had not been use to being in his natural form in so long, usually he drops his illusion spell down to the point he grows the tail, but never in years has Victor brought back his wings. The wings brought such burden to him, their weight and hideousness really showed how much of a monster Victor felt he was. He focused on retracting the wings back as every inch brought more and more pain, it felt like his spine had split in two and extended out from his shoulder blades, and now he was trying to reverse it.
"AHHHHHHHH!" Victor cries out in agony as the wings sink further until they're gone.
"That fucking bastard! I'm going to make him suffer for that! His blood...his tears...his cries for mercy...He'll pay for what he did to Halzapher!!! Those eyes...were Halzapher's. That fucking asshole has been stealing his powers!!!" The beating on the ground and throwing of objects around the room begins to fill the compound with anger and hate.
Victor stands after transforming back to human-form to see his clothes have been torn once again from the transformation. He begins to calm himself a little as he analyses everything Lucient said...
"You having spent all this time to try and free an expired canary"
"No...He's lying...If Halzapher was dead, I'd loose my powers given by him"
"Such a fool Victor, you're going to lose her all over again, and after I went through all the trouble of gift wrapping her for you,"
"Does he mean Sera? Is she..."
He feels a voice so strong and loud hit him as it brings him to his knees. The words of Halzapher had called back "Zeeeah Hazs Sworth Thee, Zeeath Malths Sworth Thee..."
"He's Alive!" Victor smiled as his Deity had responded to his call.
"Hallazar, My greatesst pupil. I grow weaker from this prissson, but fear not for It'll take more than thisss cage to hold me down. Beware of Lucient. For he hass been using this prisson to leech my essssence from this plane. I trusst you will find a way to free me from thesse boundss ssoon..."
"Thank you-"
Victor walks over and picks up the note, but before he can read it <knock, knock, knock>
Looks like someone knocks at the front gate. Victor could sense Chip trying to get in. He put away the letter in his satchel and opened up the entrance.

How quaint.
"My , my. You're a bit worse for wear aren't you?" Trystan looks around the compound, taking notice of the dwelling in shambles, and the warlock's somewhat tattered clothing.
Hmph. Probably wasn't much better prior to who knows what.
"You can just feel the hate in here. It's almost tangible." He pauses and glances at all the machinery and electronic equipment. He strolls forward , but avoiding any broken objects or glass. The boy turns around , hands behind his back to face Victor. "I'd ask questions about this...mess, but I'm sure I most likely wouldn't want to know."
Or care.
"So... care to fill us in, warlock?"

A Trail Of Bread Crumbs
Victor Keeps his calm in front of his guests as he cracks his neck and starts to pick up a few things around the room. "Just a little redecorating, figured I'd go for a more 'The Asshole left me to be talked down by the bastard behind all of this' look"
They both looked at Victor with confusion as he takes a deep breath and walks over to the computer monitors. "Look nevermind, Alerion and the Angel Seraphiel left. Most likely to find out where Jade is. I'll just see which way th- Son of a Prodistan Whore!"
The computer sparks and begins to smoke as The golden orb Sparky is pulled from the insides of the tower box. Looks like Lucient had done this on purpose. With no other way to look for them, Victor walks off to grab his equipment.
He looks off at Endymion and Trystan "Just wait here, try not to touch anything. I'll grab my stuff and well track them the old fashioned way."
As Victor gears up with his Power bands, metal plated boots, and the Belted Harness, he hears from the other room "What's the old fashioned way exactly?"
Victor walks over to the table and grabs his Gauntlets and shoulderpads and shoves them in the bag and he replies "I'm going to track their essences of course. I've been around them long enough to know what their aura looks like. Plus I WAS bound to Alerion (Which means I COULD take his powers and have more than enough to free Halzapher, but I'll need his help to take down Lucient...that bastard)"
Victor grabs the Satchel and attaches it to his belt as he grabs his grey coat and a few books as he walks over to the two still by the doorway. "Time to head out. If me move quickly, we can still catch up to them before they find Jade."
As Victor and the others leave the compound, the wall slams shut just as Chip and Sparky make their way out. "Good boys~ So then. time to track them down." As Victor's eyes close and the open again to the sight of a fresh path by Alerion as well as a glimmering glow about the way, most likely Seraphiel. "I've got them. This way" Victor begins to run off while the others follow behind."
You've got some explaining to do Alerion. Why would you bind to Sera? Why would you leave so sudden? Did you know who Sera was? Doesn't matter, as long as you're not going to betray me. Not after what happened to Aiden...Please tell me you're not going to try and take down Lucient on your own. That's suicide. After that encounter with him, I understand now...
Victor smirks as he continues to follow the trail. "Hah! He's starting to get a little scared."

My Lord...brother...
Sky, it seems you are getting closer to Jade. Just be careful please, Sky thought.
He could feel his twin...his parabatai closer to Fenrir’s location; also magic helped his vision follow the location. He was scanning the area of all possible threats and Sky could see that there was guards. Sate smiled knowing that his brother would now stake out a location until he could find a way inside.
As he got off his lounge chair a text message came into his phone:
I found Jade’s location. This place is crawling with crazy shit. I think Alerion, Endymion and others are on the way. At the mansion there was a lot of stuff there. So many evidence was left behind. There was dead shadow hunters everywhere
What?! How is that even possible? The Clave would not get involved in something so petty.
Unless they were instructed by bitchface.
Sky...do not say such words about Lucient. I don’t think its possible.
WTF Sate?! Ur gonna defend his bitch ass? What are you sucking his dick or something?!
Sky...watch your tongue. I am simply saying just don’t rush into this. All I ask is that you be careful.
Whatever…I know...I am gonna prove to you that Lucient is evil just you wait.
Sate shut his phone for now...he was tired and he had done a lot of reading tonight. He decided to take a shower and ease his mind of all stresses. What Sky was saying could be possible but, he just didn’t want to believe it just yet. Sate knew he would stay loyal to The Clave unless, Sky would be able to change his mind. Right now all that mattered was a warm shower and a bed. For now it is time to sleep.

Following The Withering Path; Just Who The Hell Are You?
The path begins to be more clear as Victor and the others follow in Alerion and Seraphiel's footsteps. The quiet dark caverns begin to illuminate as Chip and Sparky irradiate with an electric glow that lights the area around them. The smell of death fills the air as they proceed further through the tunnels. The ruined old tracks of abandoned subways and deserted stations filled with dust and rubble from decaying metal and rust.
Victor begins to think back to the times when he use to venture through these tunnels in search of misfits and servants to the dark arts. How these stations would be lit with the flames burned from the remains of failed experiments and the bones of those who wandered alone. These were some of his first victims to his thirst for more power and knowledge.
Victor starts to think about all that has happened so far:
First we all get pulled into gathering together at one specific location. Not knowing one-another we end up fighting. One of us was sent to go after Alerion, while he appeared on my scanners, and with that reputation of his, I couldn't resist trying to take his powers...Yet Alerion had lived in that mansion for quite some time...So why would he have shown himself just conveniently while being chased by two others? Could this had been planned to pull me into the gathering all along?
Alerion...What do you know about Lucient? Your past is filled with such grief and loss where does he fit in with all of it? A slave as a child...and then what happened to Aiden...you really loved him didn't you? Like how I loved Scarlett...Perhaps I shouldn't try to take your powers, you've gone through such a loss and have dealt with so much pain and suffering...like me...
And that Werewolf too...The mansion smelled of wet dog so he must know Alerion somehow, not as a friend tho, but defiantly an odd relationship. Too hard to put together on just a few memories and visions considering he darted off in a blood rage...I have a bad feeling about him...
Then there's Jade...A Shadowhunter betrayed by her own kin; Sent on practically a suicide mission to take Alerion into custody. Not to mention being an underling to him...
Victor clenched his fist and grit his teeth as hate began to fill his head at the thought of Lucient.
...Lucient...THAT FUCKER WILL PAY FOR HURTING HALZAPHER!
Then there's Seraphiel...could she really be Scarlett? Or was that just another lie made up by Lucient to try and mess with my head? He lied about Halzapher being dead, so what if he lied also about Seraphiel's true identity? Then again...she knew the song. That song was never officially published for the public so there's no way someone else had known about those lyrics besides me...Maybe I'm thinking too much about this. For all I know this is exactly what Lucient intended on me doing, getting my head wrapped around the thought of Scarlett still alive and was right beside me this whole time...best I not go any further down that road until I talk to her again...
Victor looks back at Endymion and Trystan following behind.
And then there's these two...I know the Vampire is somewhat an old friend of Jade's and appears to have gone though some lonely times being away from her...tough break kid. And that Druid seems awfully opened to helping us out. I wonder...What's his story? What ties could he have with all of this? He couldn't be a spy for Lucient, Druids are loyal to only the earth and it's inhabitants that respect the land. He doesn't seem to be past friends with anyone, so why him?
Victor decides to break the silence. "You know you don't have to be that far behind. I'm not going to try anything if that's what you guys are wondering. As creepy and horrifying as I may be sometimes, I'm not the one you two should be afraid of. You hold nothing I wish to obtain other than your assistance with the matter at hand."
Trystan and Endymion began to seem calm and interested in what Victor knew about the task at hand. Slowly they began to catch up to Victor and his Glowing Orbs as he continues to talk.
"Considering we do have a long walk ahead of us, I'll gladly answer any questions you two might have about our...situation..."

Re: Transcendent: The Journey Starts Here.
Endymion took a breath and approached the warlock, "well I have many questions, like what happened when Jade touched you, you seemed flustered..." he asked with a lot of concern clouding him, "whatever you need help with, I'll gladly do it, especially cause if blood is involved I'll be eating good then heh."
He had a lot on his mind, and wanted every answer he can get, and to assure himself that Jade is ok, and hopefully they all find her and figure out what is indeed going down all around him and everyone else. "I also take some offense that I possess nothing you need, I may be dead but still have a lot to offer," Endymion says confidently as he chuckles a bit.

Re: Transcendent: The Journey Starts Here.
Trystan clears his throat , " Well, what exactly is this... Lucient up to? I only know so much."
They continue down their chosen path , lit eerily by Victor's "pets".
The "scent" of something bothers Trystan heavily. A feeling of chaos and murder fills the air around them , a residual aura of the past.
What was this place?
The time-worn metal and stone was unnerving to him. Even more so with the spiritual perfume of death hanging around them like a shroud.
He shrugs off the vibe off the area and attempts to snap himself out of it, "I'm sure you most likely have questions about my presence , correct?" He chuckles a bit.

Impressive
A barrier had been erected around the fortress much to my expectations.
"Stand back."
I raised my hands slowly and four cars groaned as gravity lost sway to my power and they rose into the air.
I flicked my wrist and they were sent rumbling forward and with a quick snap of my fingers I ignited their fuel lines and a massive explosion bloomed into life before us as sure enough, they combusted against an invisible force.
Not even a dent.
Hmmm....
I held my hands above my head and began to condense the air into a massive sphere of density, twisting and twining until the light began to distort itself.
I launched it forward and it exploded with the might of a hurricane, hissing and moaning as a detonation rippled across the city.
Nothing??
"Impossible... he really has that level of power? This isn't a field of force, its a stasis field, every individual molecule itself is suspended in time, its impervious to force."
I marveled at such architecture, having to admit that Lucient had style and talent.
Seraphiel touched the wall before us with her elegant fingers and her lips were stern, her eyes ice blue.
"This kind of power had to have been borrowed, im thinking many lives were sacrificed to pay the price of such magick being brought into existence."
I touched her shoulder, "You are versed into the knowledge of Heaven's Unbinding yes? It is said Holy Magick has the power to annul laws."
Oddly, her fingers came to rest over mine and she eyed me, "With enough power and the proper rites, we could create a distortion field to create a passage into the compound, I- we need Victor."
Those had been my thoughts exactly, I suppose being soul bound did have its side effects, just like how I could feel her aura twining around our hands.
"We need a Seven Fold Seal to work rites of distortion, we will need the others."
Hurry up Snake, we're dealing with either a man empowered by extreme mass murder, or this particular Archdaemon is borrowing the powers of a God.
If he really had the knowledge of how to manipulate time then- maybe this is the true resurrection spell I'd been so desperately searching for.
"Seraphiel I- I need to know, when we linked and you saw my heart- that is to say, an exchange of memories- in your travels have you ever seen Aidan's soul?"
She blinked away a sadness that had been just a miniscule iridescence in her eyes before she said, "I've never seen Aidan's soul, he hasn't been through the gates of paradise to Celestia."
I nodded curtly, not expecting anything else.
Miracles were utter nonsense, logic would always reign supreme.

And So Our Story Begins...
The trail begins to feel fresh. Alerion and Seraphiel aren't far now. Victor clears his throat to explain to the two about what had happened.
"You see Endymion, Warlocks have the ability to read memories of someone's past through contact. When I was in the middle of my ritual, Jade grabbed a hold of my hand causing me to channel into her memories a little. I saw her childhood, her years in the academy, hell I saw you there too. But what really grieved me was the fact that Jade was taking orders from someone who shouldn't even exist. In her memories, Lucient Umbredant is a commanding officer with the Shadowhunters. However, due to MY research, that man should of been dead for almost two decades before ever meeting Jade. And that's when it struck me.
You see, I've been slowly loosing connection to my Deity Halzapher for quite some time now. And because of this I haven't been able to keep control of my powers as well as I use to, which is why I started leeching off any other magical being I found worthy to take from. At first tho, I was desperate and started going after apprentices and the occasional psych freaks like the ones that use to roam through these parts. I did it all with the purpose of saving Halzapher for he was imprisoned and slowly dying from the hands of someone, an Archdaemon from what I gathered with the small connections I had with Halzapher still."
Endymion and Trystan started to understand what was going on. "So Lucient is the Archdaemon?" "Makes sense with all of those connections with the Shadowhunters."
Victor continued on, "Exactly, The Archdaemon must have stolen the identity of Lucient and used it to gain a focused control of the Shadowhunters in order to find Alerion and I. The only problem I'm having tho is trying to figure out, why us? Perhaps because it's my Deity and Alerion and I are quite capable of opposing a threat to him. It also appears he knew about my plans too."
Trystan questioned "Plans? What plans did you have?"
"Well with enough power I could create a sacrificial circle as big as the city to form a philosopher stone. Something that could grant me enough power to create a rift into the celestial plane and release Halzapher from his entrapment. I had the circle prepared via the underground tunnels and subway stations, it's why I made that compound my home. That's why I was after Alerion in the first place, he was the last bit of magick I needed to start the sacrificial ritual. But then he bound his soul to me, causing us to be life linked. The bound was broken tho, just before you two arrived. But after sharing so many memories with Alerion and knowing all the things he's dealt with in the past...I don't know if I can kill him now..."
Endymion and Trystan looked at Victor displeased. "You were going to destroy the whole city just to save your Deity!? How could you! All of those people! I could of been killed! WE could have been killed!"
"It doesn't matter now. Obviously the plans been changed...Someone reminded me that there's still hope...That there's always another way...Sera..."
Trystan replied "That Angel? Who is she?"
As Victor's heart beings to race, he shrugged off the thought of the possible truth. "She's...just an angel...nothing more..." As a tear drops from Victor's eyes. "The trail seems to be getting fresh, we're getting close."
As Victor starts to walk a little further ahead, he asks Trystan, "Ohh yeah! That's one thing I'm still trying to figure out is where do you fit in with all of this Fey? You have no connections to us, no friendships, no rivalries. Tell me about yourselves. I'd like to understand why you two were brought into all of this. I figured Endymion was just an old friend of Jades but you Trystan...you appeared out of the blue..."

"Well, that clarifies things quite a bit." He shuddered at the prior mention of the unholy ritual.
My god...how could he even consider such a thing?
Is some...thing even worth all that life?
I'm going to keep my eye on this one, regardless of what he says.
He touches the tome with him, and pauses." Well, it's a bit of a story I suppose."
He takes the book out for the three of them to view it, and opens it.
"This is the Prophecy of Moira. It's a book passed down for ages in Fey culture. I've had it... for about ...3 years now."
A mental image of a young Nixie handing him the tome before a large lake at night flashes before him.
"It talks about a myriad of past and future events. Everything from the Demonic razing, to certain unavoidable truths." He pauses again and continues. "I have a certain reason that I need to aid you people. A prize I've long sought should be rewarded to me if things are prevented."
He laughs lightly, "Trust me , it's merely a selfish reason. It's no stone of doom ritual. It also seems it won't be easy, the pages constantly shift as of late."
The Prophecy is held aloft from them to see, and as it is the writing slithers around in a whirling motion , before resting into a new script.
"See? Things aren't all too easy for me with this. Especially after I lost my temper earlier. That caused the beginning of the changes."
He closes the book, and returns it back to his person.
"In short, I'm here to help you. As much as I say its merely for personal gain, I'd rather not see whatever Lucient has in store for everyone."
They're not ready for everything else. Not yet.
Well
Maybe I'll see you sooner then I thought.
"Just didn't think it would be this much of a mess already." A quick smirk.
"I do like a challenge though."

I am growing tired of you all. . .
Finally Sate was relaxed after the evening he had. First he had a meeting with The Clave and then an argument with his brother; it was just too much for him right now. He sat down staring outside the window. He sighed at the world and the conditions the way they are not. Floating worlds and landscapes...this wasn’t the way the world was. The valleys and mountains didn’t exist and the oceans that could take anyone near and far. He wished for the world to go back to normal so the people that lived in the floating colonies would see what the earth once was. Now it was inhabited by demons and other downworlders. He sighed knowing that part of this was his doing so many centuries ago.
He knew Sky was waiting for the others to join him because, to battle Fenrir on his own would be far too difficult. He knew he had to use his powers...but did he have to do this so soon? If he was going to bring his brother home safely he had to channel his deepest powers. As he channeled Jade he noticed something was different...she was bound to someone by a spell...the warlock Alerion. He was impressed of the binding spell the young warlock created. Its alright he was able to match it.
Surge, hæc viatores
C fratrem meum
lumen ad auxilium invenire semitam
The spell now made his body shake full of deep energies no spellcaster would be useful. The spell he was able to create would help guide the travelers to Fenrir and Jade. He closed his eyes and began to speak hoping that this would reach the warlock.
He sat down at his dark now trying to calm himself from using so much power. He gently sat back into his chair and began to work on an entry in his personal journal. He did all he could do for now so that Sky could get Jade back to them.
Translation:
Get this group moving and get to my brother. Let them find the right path

Regroup!
As Trystan finishes, Victor feels as if he's not giving the whole story. However that book, The Prophecy of Moira, intrigued him. He had heard only little about the capabilities of a Fey but the thought of having such power to see what will happen and what once was. "A Book that speaks of the Past and Future? Of course there would be some clouded scriptures since everything's up in the air right now. But what about your-"
As Victor and the Others walked into sight of Alerion, they are greeted with a stern "What the Fuck took you three so long!?"
As Victor sees Alerion, he stops talking to Trystan and begins to run over to Alerion and grabs him by his shirt. "You ASSHOLE! HOW did you break the seal? WHY did you leave all of a sudden? And WHY did you take Seraphiel with you?" As Victor began to grow in anger, little by little his true form began to show once more. "If you had found out where Jade was, WHY didn't you just inform me instead of having me wait for Hansel and Grettle to get to the compound so we can follow your fucking trail of bread crumbs!? They could of just followed the orb until it came back to me..."
As Victor continues to yell at Alerion, he feels a soothing hand touch his shoulder. "I'm sorry we worried you." Victor stopped yelling and turned to see Seraphiel. His illusion spell began to take control once more as he replies "I wasn't worried, just would of been nice to have been told of what was going on..." The thought begins to wander again as Victor tries to stay focused on saving Jade.
Keep it together Vic, best to not think about her. Gotta keep focused
"So..." Victor looks up at the Giant barrier shielding the fortress "...a Stasis Field..." He grins as he pulls out the crystals from his satchel. "Not a problem. So how would you like to go at this Alerion? Seven-Fold Seal I take it?"

Disgust
I broke his hold on me with a baleful swipe of my arm. "Touch me again, snake, you won't like the consequences, I've been under a lot of stress, was it worms or snakes that live when you cut them in half? Care to test my hypothesis?"
I shoved him away and turned back towards the stasis field, "Of course a seven fold, we have to use distortion magick to get inside, luckily we just so happen to have an angel who can work Heaven's Law, and seven of us. As for leaving, did you really think I would stay bound to you?" I laughed, "If I recall you aren't exactly the rescuing type cave-dweller, while you sit around lamenting the past, I decided to take action."
I watched them all coldly. "I'll kill Lucient with my own hands." And with that, I stalked off and set about preparing the seal.

Victor
I watched Victor closely, such a weight seemed to hang around his shoulders since I'd seen him last, a weight even heavier than our first meeting, and his reaction to me was...off.
"Victor? You seem unwell, do you require healing?"
I laid a hand on his forearm, and felt a shiver run through his body. Evidence of sickness? Though what kind? Physical, mental, spiritual?
Alerion drew the heptagram with perfect precision and amazing speed and deftness.
Aidan, the love he never got to love.
Was it the binding between us? Or something else that urged me to comfort him.
What did I know of emotion though? Such an act was outside my capabilities, so instead I turned my attention to the spell.
I would serve as a gate for heaven's power and change the laws this spell had laid down in order to grant us entry.
I watched the assembled members. Power was not an issue, Alerion himself could probably open heaven's gates for me alone, but that power could easily go awry, no, distributing the energy through a seven fold was best, yes Victor and Alerion were amazing magicians, so easily able to identify and assess the exact methods needed.
I felt hope in my chest, this would work, we really would defeat the Archdaemon, my mission would soon be complete.
Yet...why did the thought now seem hollow?

Well Hello...Warlock~
"He figured me out...impressive...for a younger warlock," Sate said to himself.
He didn't expect for him to catch onto him that quickly but, he was a full blooded warlock so he shouldn't expect anything less from him. He sat up from his writing aware of the next set of plans; a seal was going to be made. He smiled knowing that he would be able to use a part of his magic without being present. After all if he was there he wasn't too sure how strong he would be with everyone there. He didn't want to hurt anyone just yet considering he was still controlling his magic from so many years ago. With Sky there for now he would act for both of their powers and soon they would be able to get Jade and figure out what truly is going on within The Clave.
"Be careful, brethren...Fenrir is a force to be dealt with. But I am sure you are aware of that."

Vanishing Shadow
What a beautiful song...
I felt anchored, despite my quickly disintegrating hold on this life.
"Jade... its funny. I was sent to capture you but...seems you caught me instead."
I reached up and stroked her face, wanting to memorize her features. The pearls that were her tears distorted the light and the color of her eyes fragmented like an aurora.
Maybe it was because I was becoming darker...that no one had ever looked so bright before.
Was this because the mark of angels blessed her blood?
No...this wasn't angelic, this was something more.
This was Jade.
She was one of those annoying people that wanted to save everyone else with little regards to themselves. Only someone like her could possibly cry for her kidnapper in such a way...but-
-I would like to think that in another time, in another place. I would have been deserving of tears like these, she would have cried for something real between us.
But I am a shadow, shadows do not get to touch the light. We are forever just one step out of reach...
My chest constricts and my nails dig into the sheets as I feel the poisoned blood begin to stir and wrap its way around my heart.
I've felt it coming for a long time.
I died a long time ago with my brother, and ever since then I've just been a shadow. The real me, this real body now...belongs to them.
Tonight when I shift, there will be no coming back. Their perfect little weapon, Lucient's perfect guard dog.
Jade had been so kind to me so naturally all I could offer her was torment.
"Jade...I need it to be you."
I draw a knife forged of the darkness that I have become and present it to her.
"Will you save me?"

Goodbye...
Jade's hands shook as she tried to understand what Fenrir was trying to say. Why would he want to die; it didn't make sense to her. Tears streamed down her face as she could see a beast within him was beginning to wake. She knew that if she didn't take him out now, there would be no future for her but, a life of suffering for him. She closed her eyes trying to steady her emotions and she took a breath from deep within her chest.
Jade, you know what you must do to save him, she said to herself.
Jade knew of a spell she had once learned from a Fae and she could perform if she could just reach underneath her collar. A small compartment opened within her choker and she pulled out a small bag of lavender colored dust. She poured a large amount into her hand and she looked Fenrir in the eyes. He was gasping for air and she could see muscles in his body convulsing in ways she could not explain.
"I will save you Fenrir," she began,"It takes one simple word."
With a deep breath she blew the dust onto him as he began to close his eyes. It put him in a dream-like state. His body was frozen in time. She took the remaining dust and swallowed it down into her mouth. It had such a bitter taste but, she knew she had to reach Fenrir.
"Somnium," she shouted.
Jade was now in the frozen mind of Fenrir; this spell allowed her to take him to a place he had never been before. The two of them stood in a field of Lavender and Jasmine plants. The sun was setting around them and creatures of all around began to sing the sounds of night. Fenrir was dressed in a casual black top and pants and as he tried to understand where he was Jade stood there in a new light; a new kind of beauty.
Her has was up in a high curl and she wore the finest velvet black dress with a matching corset. Her eyes were painted pinks and purple to compliment her fair skin. She stood with such poise and a new found of confidence and a small smile remained hidden on her stern face. Her skin smelt of Egyptian Musk and her hair flowed gently with the wind following around her. As she stood there an unusual song filled the air causing Fenrir to feel at ease; as if nothing could hurt him.
"They call this place the Immortal Gardens," she said in a sweet voice,"It is said when two people come here they are destined to meet again forever through many lifetimes. I may have not known you a long time but, you awoke something in me that I have never felt before."
She walked over to him and sat him in the long grasses as the winds picked up around them. Birds of many colors flew through the air and in a distance a dragon took flight sending flames and smoke into a nearby mountainside.
"Lovely isn't it," she laughed.
She laid him onto the ground facing him to her view. The two eyes locked as he pulled her close to him. The two laid together just surrounded by the beauty of this moment. They remained like this for many hours or so it seemed since the sun was setting further. She turned him to lay on his side now and she did the same.
"Fenrir, I hope that we meet again. I want to show you a better life the next time around and I think you can show me the same. I will never forget the things you have told me, the stories of your brother, your lovely painting, and the time we shared in that chamber of yours. May you feel at ease now and remember. I will be here for you again. I don't care if I have to travel a thousand millenias...we shall meet again."
Her blue eyes made him feel at ease as her hand reached to touch his face. As her hand touched him he felt as if she had touched him with water from the lake and his eyes began to grow heavy. Why was he suddenly so tired?
"Rest well Fenrir," She said as sound began to fade from his ears,"You are now forever free..."
Jade finally snapped from the Immortal Garden she took him to and she was now back in the room where he had kidnapped her. The blade was deep into his heart and his body was now pale and full of blood. He was no longer breathing; he was no longer suffering. The floor around her felt cold as she now realized she was sitting in a pool of his blood. She knew she was covered in his blood and she knew that she had taken his life. Tears began to fall down her face and a deep scream came from within her chest as she chucked the blade into a wall nearby. For now her body could only shake and stare at blood that soaked the black marble floor.

Rescuing Jade
Sate, I am now hiding in the tree looking over the fortress...There is still no sign of Alerion and the others I am beginning to wonder if they are ever going to show up,
So many demon like creatures defended Fenrir's home; it seemed like they were connected to him for sure. He could feel their energy tie close to the kidnapper of Jade. He wanted to run in there himself but, the risk would be far too great if he did that; he would only put Jade in my danger. He kept in balance within the tree he had himself perched in. For now all he could do was hide and wait for the help he needed from the other Warlock and his motley crew. As he sat waiting a surge of energy came across his body like a silent boom.
Yeah...dude that felt like death, something isn't right here at all.
The creatures within Fenrir's fortress began to screech and howl as their bodies began to combust. Sky looked on in astonishment as to what could be causing this to happen. A loud high female scream filled the air and Sky felt like his heart had stopped; he knew that scream far too well.
FUCK! SATE THAT IS JADE'S VOICE
"Fuck," Sky yelled jumping as high as he could to reach the edge of the cobblestone stone wall.
Once he caught his footing he climbed as fast as he could to the top of the wall. Carefully reaching the top he could see arrows bursting towards him from a nearby compartment on the fence. The top of the walls were booby-trapped to keep any unwanted visitors away. As the arrows came at him in overwhelming speeds Sky quickly back flipped onto the ground below and ran towards the entrance of the home. With all of his might Sky hands extended out causing flames to burst from his hand. With the magick within him he burned the doors down ready to fight if needed. There seemed to be nothing but dead creatures all over. What did Fenrir do to his minions; was it his plan to be this defenseless in order to conquer Alerion and the others?
"Fucking Christ man," Sky yelled,"I am moving as fast as I can."
He picked up more speed and continued to run into this dark home of fine furniture and painting throughout. For someone who was a kidnapper he had a nice pad set up for himself. He finally made that sharp turn coming to a cherry wood and marble chiseled door; Jade had to be here. With all of his might he kicked the door down as the smell or iron filled the air.
On the ground laid the body of Fenrir with a sword so large dug deep within his chest. The gruesome man now looked as if he had found peace.Pools of his blood reached the entry way of the door and kneel down into it was Jade. Her eyes were frozen on the ground. Sweat dripped from her head and tears were falling from her eyes. Sky could see her muscles shaking all over and her breath was heavy; she was in panic for sure.
"Jade..." he managed to say.
She didn't move an inch but, her breathing got heavier and small squeaks came from within her. Her head suddenly shot up and turned to look at the lifeless body of Fenrir. She quickly pulled the blade out of him and tried to shake him away.
"Fenrir!"
"...Jade," he said nervously,"It doesn't work like that.
Jade began to cry louder as her fists began to slam into Sky's shoulder. She was in hysterics for sure and he knew she was in a lot of pain. All he could do was tell her no and that his powers could not work that way. Sure once he was able to do it to his brother but, that was due to his lover. His lover was a great Warlock known to the world of the Shadow hunters for so many years. It was with the sacrifice of a demon that he was able to bring Sate back. He could see that Jade had some sort of connection with Fenrir in his final moments of life. For someone so cruel she somehow found the heart in him which even surprised Sky. Jade was normally cold as ice when it came to showing her heart; how did Fenrir break through even the slightest?
"Sky...please..."
As Sate tried to communicate with Sky Jade nearly fell to the ground. Sky picked her up before she could fall any further. He needed to get her back to his place and have her get rest.
"Fenrir...why does everything I love get taken away from me...All I want to do is help...I want to give everyone my all...but no matter what its never enough...I may not be able to do as much as other can...but can't anyone see me...or am I really not worthy of life too...maybe I should join him...there is no purpose for me in this world anyway.
"Jade, I got you," Sky said holding her tight.
With a nearby cloth he tried to wipe the blood off of her body as she kept repeating the same lines over and over. How she was useless, how she had no purpose, and for Sky to bring Fenrir back. He began to lift her into his arms as he was going to carry her back to the home of him and his brother.
"Alerion, wherever you are," Sky hissed,"You and your crew come to me now. I got Jade! You get your ass here. She is more broken then she was before. It time we fix her!"

Brother, you must go now; she could be in far more danger then we assumed she was in. Go now!

Take the corridor to the right and follow the hall until you make a sharp right. I can feel Jade coming from there but, something feels wrong about her so please, hurry and get to her.

"...Jade," he said nervously,"It doesn't work like that.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT DOESN'T WORK LIKE THAT! You brought your fucking brother back to life! You saved him so you can save Fenrir! You have to save him. He doesn't deserve to die like this! Sky you have to! He showed me compassion! He has a heart! I need to show him that it gets better! Sky please.
